Rosieroos hearts the Warehouse Cafe- Jersey City

One of my favorite cafes in my old hometown is the Warehouse Cafe in Jersey City.  I frequent this place for their refreshing iced green teas paired of course with some yummy homemade treats.  I also have to mention their savory sandwiches especially the garbanzo with sweet pepper meatloaf (totally vegan) which happens to be one of my faves!  What makes this place special of course is the two amazing guys who own the place- Ian and Julius.  Their down to earth spirit, warm hospitality, and love of food turns a passerby into a regular.  Their love and appreciation of art, music, and culture draws a diverse community to the downtown area of Jersey City known as the PAD- Powerhouse Art District.  There’s always something going on in the cafe from open mic events, art exhibits, and live djs. What a great place!

Rosieroos is forever grateful to the Warehouse cafe for the energy they bring to a great community!  I highly recommend it!

the Warehouse cafe is located on 140 Bay Street in downtown Jersey City.

Embracing the world of “blogs”

Last night I was at an awesome Vimeo party and a very dear friend & (not to forget mentioning) one of the coolest nerds I know on this planet asked me why I don’t have a blog for my organic baby clothing line Rosieroos (www.rosieroos.com)?? Hmm…I was dumbfounded and really didn’t have a good answer for him.  I even took it kind of personal! But, seriously why not??? What’s wrong with me? So when I thought about it late last night, I think I was just terrified of blogs in general.  It just sounds so techy which I am so not. But also I was afraid of feeling absolutely naked to the world. My thoughts are always so jumbled, random, and sometimes silly. And why shall I broadcast that?  That’s probably why as a girl I always had locks on my old Hello Kitty diaries in order to prevent my snooping older brother from knowing who my boy(s) crush was for the week. HA!

But today on this gorgeous Sunday, Rosie (that’s me)  is turning a new leaf and coming out of her shell! It can only get easier from this initial post right? Anyway, I’ve embarked on a journey-the Roseiroos journey that I’ve been dying to share with you.  Rosieroos is brand new company that I started about a year ago and we sell very yummy, one of a kind organic baby and kids clothing.  Why organic?  Because this world can definitely use alittle more lovin’ and Rosieroos is about taking small steps to make a difference.  This brand is definitely something I am passionate about and believe in.  I am still a very small pea in the pod with much to learn and many more discoveries to be made. So be it- random thoughts, latest news, brain-fart… The Rosieroos adventure begins and I’d love for you to join me!
